General Description: We are seeking an experienced office manager to oversee the day-to-day workings of a wilderness guest ranch and its staff. The manager is responsible for ensuring that all departments are running smoothly and that the guest experience is a positive one. The manager is expected to set a positive example for staff and to promote a standard that reflects well on the company. Business and people management skills are equally important.

Specific Duties of Office Manager:

Program Manager/Marketing and Sales

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

General Summary: Coordinates sales of the company’s products and services in within a defined geographic area, province or country. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

CORE FUNCTIONS of Sales and Marketing Coordinator:

  • Collaborates with the Owner in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Coordinates an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION for Sales and Marketing Coordinator:

  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with the Owner.

  • Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.

  • Reviews expenses and recommends economies.
  • Holds regular meeting with sales staff.

QUALIFICATIONS of Sales and Marketing Coordinator: A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred; or a minimum of five years of related experience or training in Tourism Industry sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team. Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies. Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. A valid driver’s license.

Sales Manager

The Sales Manager oversees the management of all key accounts and is responsible for implementing a proactive sales strategy designed to close on volume sources of business in the tour, wholesale, corporate, FIT, education and related markets.

Responsibilities include assembling and submitting grant requests (including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations), performing grant-related research, identifying potential sources of funding, and submitting completed grant proposals.

Must be able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment.
